Macy's Hospital Update

Greeting Friends & Family,

Macy had her most recent visit to Children's Memorial with Dr. Pachman two weeks ago. It was another long day at the Hospital, but Macy was a trooper, as always! Dr. P had some concerns about her finger-nail folds (a.k.a. cuticles - this is a "signature" indicator of JDM activity) They seem to be slightly "worse", however, she suspects that it could be due to non-JDM issues. We are to keep a close eye on them. She continues to be very optimistic for Macy's prognosis. Best news of all is that Dr. Pachman has decided that Macy can come for her hospital trip every four months, as opposed to every 90 days! Essentially, that means we can eliminate one trip a year to Chicago! This is the best news we have had in a long time! Macy continues to walk this journey with grace, and we are blessed to be able to be walking with her. Thanks to all of you for your constant support, love and prayers. We are so grateful for such an amazing community!

Stay tuned as we draw closer to the 3rd Annual Fundraiser! I know it is going to be awesome!

Hello All,

We are fast approaching the big day and we really need your help! 

Friends of Macy's Miracle Foundation have donated a 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle! We are raffling off the bike on May 4th at 5pm. Tickets are only $50.00 and a maximum of 600 will be sold! That means you have a one in 600 chance of winning brand new Harley Davidson! Amazing!!! Even if you don't really want a motorcycle... Sell it and make a BUNDLE!

We are having our last meeting on April 30th at 6:00 at Woody's River Roo! We really NEED all who are going to volunteer the day of the event to come out that night!! Laying out the event schedule and jobs descriptions is crucial for the big day to run smoothly!

* MANY volunteers to attend the meeting on April 30th at the ROO!

 * MANY people to RSVP as Volunteers so I can order those AWESOME lime green shirts:)

 * We are in need of more Theme Baskets and items for our auction!

3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off Bash - May 4, 2008

On Sunday May 4th, 2008 we will host the Macy’s Miracle Foundation 3rd Annual Summer Kick-Off Bash, at Woody’s River Roo in Ellenton, Florida. This event is in honor of Macy and all children afflicted with JDM. They have a long journey ahead of each of them. Our prayer is to continue the fight against JDM. We have dedicated ourselves to raising research funds in order for Macy’s Doctor, Dr. Pachman and Children’s Memorial Research Hospital to search for a cure that will benefit all children with JDM and their families.

The following are several ways you can help us fight for a cure!

• Become a corporate sponsor of the event by donating $1,000 or more
• Make an individual monetary donation of any amount (NO amount is too small!)
• Donate themed baskets for our “Pick Your Own” raffle
• Donate items or services for the Silent Auction and/or Live Auction
• Spreading the word by placing flyers at your place of business
